Nail pathology is one of most common problems seen in podiatric clinical practice.
Krausz (1970) – of 10,900 podiatric patients, 6754 (61%) had nail pathology. The most common were onychocryptosis (16%), onychauxis (14%), onychophosis (12%) and onychomycosis (5%).
