Icebug

Icebug running shoes

Icebug are a manufacturer of trail running shoes based in Göteborg, Sweden that was launched in 2001 by Eliza Tornkvist and David Ekelund. The shoes are probably most well known for their high level of traction.

The Icebug trail running shoes have a number of design features that differentiate the shoes in the range.

Icebug Design Features:
BUGrip technology:

RB9X – Rubber 9 Extreme is our latest rubber compound development, and it sets a new standard in providing friction. Lab tests (SATRA) show that RB9X outgrips the competition, but still matches the durability of an asphalt running shoe. In real action that means up-graded traction reliability in wet and slippery conditions: On rocks, wood etc.

Arch Flex:
These are the ‘orthopedic’ like insoles that are used in the Icebug trail shoes. Arch Flex is another company owned by Icebug.

Feature Guide:
Each shoe in the Icebug range is classified based on 4 features: Torsion, Drop, Cushioning and Last.
