Presence of RBC’s (haematouria)  urinary tract infection; SLE; polyarteritis nodosa; trauma
Presence of free haemoglobin (haemoglobinuria)  burns; glomerulonephritis; crush injury
Presence of myoglobin (myoglobinuria)  muscle trauma; muscular dystrophy
