Flexor digitorum brevis:
• patient supine or sitting
• stabilise proximal phalanges and maintain foot and ankle in neutral position.
• test flexion of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th MPJs by having patient plantarflex toes while applying a dorsiflexory force to middle phalanx of lateral 4 toes
