Heel Less Running Shoes

Heelless running shoes are running shoes that have no heel. The heel area is cut away. They are also referred to as ‘floating heel running shoes‘ and ‘forefoot running shoes‘.

They are different to the zero drop running shoes. They are generally based on and marketed based on the concept that forefoot striking is better and you get less injuries running with a forefoot strike. There is no evidence that running in these types of shoes or with a forefoot strike that you get less injuries running.
