Dr Richard Blake DPM is a podiatrist in San Francisco, California at the Center for Sports Medicine, Saint Francis Memorial Hospital. Dr Blake graduated from the California College of Podiatric and then completed a residency in medical-surgical podiatry and a two-year fellowship in biomechanics of the lower extremities.
Dr Blake developed the Inverted Orthotic Technique and has lectured nationally and internationally on the his Blake Inverted Orthosis. He is the past president of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine. Dr Blake has published over 50 articles on sports medicine and biomechanics. He has taught for over 20 years at the California College of Podiatric Medicine, now the California School of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California. He is the author of a blog on foot injuries called ‘Dr Blakes Healing Sole’ and has published several books. He has been a marathon runner and avid basketball player.
