Bronchodilators and anti-inflammatory inhalants (Drugs for asthma)
Drugs are used to both treat and prevent respiratory disease by working against two processes:
1) Spasm on the bronchial muscles (bronchodilators)
2) Inflammation and oedema in mucous membranes (corticosteroids)
These drugs are inhaled work directly on lung tissue no or minimal systemic effects
