Drugs that enhance the actions of acetylcholine have effects similar to the activity of the parasympathetic nervous system
2 types of cholinergic receptors:
a) Muscarnic receptors- at parasympathetic neuroeffector junctions
b) Nicotine receptors- legand gated sodium channels
