Increase  dehydration, increased intake, Cushing’s syndrome, thermal burns, Aldosteronism, diabetic acidosis, profuse sweating, vomiting
Decrease  low intake, diarrhoea, vomiting, diuretics, hepatic failure, excessive water intake, Addison’s disease, hypopituitarism, congestive heart failure, traum or tumour to CNS, renal failure
