Classification of causes:
• disproportionate short stature (rickets, osteochrondrodysplasia)
• proportionate short stature (genetic, constitutional delay, dysmorphic syndromes, growth hormone deficiency, growth hormone unresponsiveness, hypothyroidism)
• systemic disease (eg cystic fibrosis, chronic renal failure, metabolic diseases, inflammatory bowel disease.
