Lumbar nerve plexus

Lumbar nerve plexus:
enlargement of spinal cord in lumbosacral region made up of collection of nerve cell bodies and processes
made up of roots of L1, L2, L3 and L4 (sometimes T12)  innervate lower extremity
branches:
Obturator (L2,3,4)
Femoral (L2,3,4)
Iliohypogastric (L1)
Ilioguinal (L1)
Genitofemoral (L1,2)
Lateral femoral cutaneous (L2,3)
