Osteoma
Rare benign tumour. M>F. Only in bone formed by periosteum (membranous ossification, eg skull).
Not painful. Have a visible and palpable mass.
X-ray – radiodense smooth bony mass attached to surface of cortex; protrudes from surface of bone; appears similar to osteochondroma, but does not have cartilaginous cap.
Management – excision
