Sartorius:
• patient supine, hip and knee flexed to 90 degrees; knee is supported by examiner in this position
• hip to be examined is flexed, internally rotated and adducted
• other hand applies resistance to medial surface of knee in direction of abduction and extension
• patient is asked to adduct, externally rotate and flex against your resistance
