Hip adductors:
• adductor magnus, longus and brevis, gracilis, pectineus
• patient lying on side to be tested; contralateral leg is supported with one hand in abduction and neutral rotation
• with other hand, a force is applied to the medial side of the knee joint in direction of abduction
• patient is asked to adduct against resistance
