Normally 136-145 mmol/l.
Increase dehydration, increased intake, Cushing’s syndrome, thermal burns, Aldosteronism, diabetic acidosis, profuse sweating, vomiting
Decrease low intake, diarrhoea, vomiting, diuretics, hepatic failure, excessive water intake, Addison’s disease, hypopituitarism, congestive heart failure, traum or tumour to CNS, renal failure
