Tarsal tunnel syndrome

Indications- failure of non-operative measures

Procedure:
• 8-9 cm incision along course of post tib nerve  blunt dissection
• Identify structure (vein, artery, nerve)  trace nerve to bifurcation
• Release tarsal tunnel distally by incising superficial and deep fascia
• Check for soft tissue masses
• Deflate tourniquet  haemostasis
