Talonavicular arthrodesis:
Joint works as part of rearfoot complex with talocalcaneal and calcaneocuboid joints arthrodesis of talonavicular will restrict rearfoot motion to <5 degrees
Indicated when joint disease cause pain and disability on movement that has not responded to conservative care – most common indication is rheumatoid arthritis and posterior tibial dysfunction (with significant midfoot collapse).
