Health Protection
Health protection is the improvement in the physical environment to reduce or eliminate health hazards.
Examples:
• reduction of unintentional injuries (eg use of seat belts; prevention if household fires; prevention of falls)
• occupational health and safety (eg reduction in exposure to chemicals)
• improvement in air quality
• improvement of food handling
• oral health promotion
