C.B. Dunshee was a podiatrist who had a clinic in Oskaloosa, Iowa from 1949 to 1991. He graduated from what was then the Illinois College of Chiropody and Foot Surgery prior to that.
He enlisted in the United States Navy on September 17, 1941 and left October 15, 1945. During that time he was mostly assigned to the USS Lesuth, an auxiliary cargo ship, where he acted as a senior yeoman.
