Streptokinase:
• exotoxin from streptococcus
• reacts with plasminogen catalyses conversion of other plasminogen molecule releases plasim degrades fibrin meshwork of clots
• used to treat venous thrombosis, acute coronary thrombosis, massive pulmonary emboli
• adverse effects – bleeding at sites of recent trauma
