Global neurological history:

• Sleep pattern, disturbances of sleep
• speech difficulties
• attacks of loss of consciousness
• headaches
• hallucinations or impairments of special senses (taste, smell, hearing, vision)
• muscular weakness
• loss of control over limb or involuntary movements
• abnormalities in gait/walking
• any disturbance of sphincter control; problems holding or passing urine or faeces?
• weight – stationary, diminishing, increasing?
• possible exposure to infection (eg HIV)
