Spinal Nerves:
• 31 pairs of spinal nerves
• each connected to spinal cord by two roots (anterior and posterior)
• posterior – carry impulses to CNS (afferent or sensory fibres); cell bodies are in posterior enlargements (posterior root ganglion)
• anterior – carry impulse away from CNS (efferent fibres)
