Cell Mediated Immune Response
T cells mediate cellular response.
T cells (unlike B cells) cannot react to free antigen – only respond to processed fragments of protein antigens.
Immunocompetent T cells become activated when they simultaneously recognise and bind to non-self (the antigen) and self (a MHC protein of body cell)
