Nonossifying fibroma/Fibrous cortical defect:
Common benign bone/connective tissue lesion – due to a defect of periosteal cortical bone development failure of ossification; usually asymptomatic; may cause pathological fractures.
May be due to trauma (possibly unrecognised) to periosteum
X-ray – well marginated radiolucent lesion with distinct multilocular appearance – surrounded by irregular and reactive rim of bone.
Usually self limited and often heals over time
