Definition:
A fixed osseous deformity in which the posterior bisection of the calcaneus is everted relative to vertical when the subtalar joint is in its defined neutral position.
NB: The definition here is based the position of the rearfoot with the subtalar joint in its defined neutral position and the foot will compensate for this. In some literature a rearfoot valgus may be used to describe a weightbearing/compensated position of the rearfoot.
Very rare.
Arch completely flat – not necessarily pathologic, as arch is flat without any compensatory foot pronation don’t treat?
