Wolfe’s Law of functional adaptation of bone:
There is interdependence between the form and function of bone. Bone is able to reorient itself by a process of the rearrangement of its trabeculae and lamellae systems due to mechanical stress and tension. Any change that occurs in the form, position and function of bones are followed by changes in the internal architecture of the bone and secondary changes in the external conformation.
