Heel raise test

Heel raise test:
Subject raises on to toes – note what happen to arch and calcaneus. Arch should raise and calcaneus should invert. Used to evaluate flexible “flatfoot” in children. In posterior tibial dysfunction  calcaneus does not invert and arch may not rise
