About Sharad Pendsey:
Sharad Pendsey is a consultant in diabetology and the Director of Diabetes Clinic and Research Centre, Dhantoli, Nagpur, India. He has several original publications to his credit and is the author of the book Practical Management of Diabetes. He has been a recipient of many national and international awards, such as the “International Amputation Prevention Award” and “Vuk Vrhovac Award” for his work on leprosy foot. He was the national president of the Research Society for Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI) and is a member of the international working group on the diabetic foot. He has been a regular faculty at national and international scientific meetings. he has contributed chapters on the Diabetic Foot in the Textbook of Medicine published by API and Textbook of Diabetes published by RSSDI. He is the managing trustee of ‘DREAM Trust’, a registered charity with two main objectives of prevention of the diabetic foot and providing free insulin to poor diabetic children.
