Fractures of the Dome of the Talus:
Most are anterolateral and posteromedial

Mechanism of injury (DIAL a PIMP):
Dorsiflexion and Inversion  Anterior and Lateral lesion
Plantarflexion and Inversion  Medial and Posterior lesion

Clinical features:
Anterolateral – usually have history of trauma – usually a severe inversion injury
Posteromedial – can have history of trauma, but more commonly an insidious onset of medial ankle pain
