Autonomic dysfunction:
Cardiovascular – orthostatic light-headedness, dizziness, blurred vision, syncope, fatigue, resting tachycardia, angina pectoris
Sudomotor and vasomotor – partial or complete loss of sweating, heat intolerance, nocturnal sweating, skin cracks on feet, dry shiny skin, unusually cold or warm feet, peripheral oedema
Secretomotor – dry mouth and eyes
Genitourinary – history of urinary tract infections, increased volume of first morning void, need for strain to initiate and continue voiding, sensation of incomplete emptying, diminished libido
Respiratory – apnoea or irregular breathing during sleep
Gastrointestinal – dysphagia, retrosternal discomfort, heartburn, anorexia, epigastric fullness during meals, recurrent episodes of nausea and vomiting, nocturnal diarrhoea
Ocular – blurring of vision, photophobia, asymmetric pupils.
