Sources – milk, meat, fish, eggs, cereals, beans, fruits, vegetables
Function – bone and tooth formation, blood coagulation, neuromuscular irritability, myocardial conduction
Deficiency  hypocalcaemia, tetany, neuromuscular hyperexcitability, osteoporosis
Toxicity  hypercalcaemia, renal failure, kidney stones
