Medial plantar nerve:
Passes with tibial artery and vein into upper calcaneal canal below medial malleolus motor branches to abductor hallucis, flexor digitorum and first lumbrical muscles. Sensory branches innervate skin of the anterior medial aspect of plantar surface.
Divides into 3 common plantar digital nerves (innervate first and second lumbrical muscles) divides again into plantar digital nerve supplies web spaces of first to fourth digits.
